WAAPA Aural Training Units
The Classical Music Department is considered to have some of the finest Aural Training for musicians in Australia.
The curriculum divides between Kodaly Concept ear training for the first two years followed by a modified Solfège programme for third year students and a further Advanced Music Skills programme for graduate courses.
Past students continually refer to the rigour and expectations of lecturers to meet the highest standards of aural imagery and sight reading skill required in fine music institutions worldwide.
